I'm trying to figure out the name of a book I read in high school. It was about this family that moves to South America to escape the materialism of the United States. They live on the river and they start a commune. There is a little girl in the story named Clover. I remmember that there were missionaries in the book too. In the end the father ends up dying on the beach and the family moves back to the U.S.
If anyone knows what the name of this book is, pleeeeeeease let me know, it's driving me nuts.
