I'm back in Spokane now. Thanks to everyone who wished me well on my journey over the pass, it helps to know that people care. There has been more snow here than I know how to deal with. I think at one point we had almost two feet at my house, and we're not talking Tacoma-snow that melts in a few hours. No, this junk sticks around.
Our house here had a pitched roof and every-so-often there's a loud scary rumbling noise and you can see all the snow slide off the roof and smash into the deck. It's pretty cool, but I didn't know what it was at first so the the noise kinda freaked me out.
My car got stuck at the bottom of the driveway when I was on my way to class the other day. The snowplow guy had gone by and created a wall of snow between my driveway and the road (greeeeeat!). So I had to get the shovel and dig myself a path to drive through. It sucked, but I'll admit that I felt pretty triumphant when I was done. I'm pathetic like that.

Sorry for spelling your name wrong Kym! Spelling was never my sport.

I was stuck in Salem Oregon for a week because I took my daughter to school on Sunday. The roads were icy on Sunday, but fortunately there were no hill. Portland to Salem was dry. Then the ice storm came. Fortunately we had power, my family back home didn't. I wonder how many more killer storms the northwest is going to have?
